This highly depends on the region. Northern Spain is best visited in the summer to avoid rainy, dreary days while Southern Spain’s intense heat should be avoided. As a generalization, May to June and late September to November are Sarah’s top choices but Spain can be a year round destination when planned correctly.

Another Mediterranean country that is always lovely in the spring and fall. However, if you’re visiting the Greek islands, timing matters as they close seasonally!

At minimum 1 week for Athens and an island or two but once you meet the Greek islands, you may be wishing you’d planned to stay longer! You could easily spend 2 weeks experiencing the island lifestyle.
